&nbsp &nbsp Starry, off-white flowers with night fragrance, four to six per inflorescence. Leaves are semi-terete (nearly cylindrical, pointy, and light-loving) and succulent (good at retaining water). So grow these bright and allow them to dry briefly between watering, especially in cooler, dimmer weather. Decent temperature tolerance. Limited.

Brassocattleya Sunset Glory
(Brassocattleya Richard Mueller X Cattleya purpurata fma. flammea)

    Bc. Richard Mueller is (Brassavola nodosa X Cattleya (Laelia) milleri) and produces several starry yellow flowers with spots. This version of (Whatever) purpurata is known for a heavy saturation of pink on the petals and sepals. Expect medium-sized, star-shaped flowers with a white to light yellow background, nice dark purple-brown spots, and a pink overlay.

Cattleya Batemanniana 'Volcano Queen'

    This used to be a Sophrocattleya. Oh well, regardless of the genus, this one is neat. This clone has pink sepals and the petals try to mimic the lip being red with pink flares. Miniature plants under 6" tall, so good for fluorescent light gardens or windowsills. Excellent temperature tolerance as well! Multi-growth, blooming size plants.

Cattleya Sincomedia 'Valley Isle' [coerulea]

    These are very nice, blooming size plants in 3.25" pots. Clones of a coerulea version of this primary hybrid between two compact Cattleyas with excellent temperature tolerance. Flowers come several per inflorescence in spring and are about three inches across (large especially in comparison to the plants) and are white with a very light blue-ish overlay and coerulea lip . A very good choice for both bright light gardens and an extended outdoor season plant.
